Surprise!

We just got back from the chapel after having Mutual, and I walk into my room to find Baby Moni sound asleep...Zzzzzz. I lay here next to him watching how peaceful he is and how fast he's grown. For those who know, have heard, or will find out for the first time......drum roll please (lol), Baby Moni is our surprise blessing! On March 30th he decided to join the Haunga Family without us knowing, yes that's right!, without us knowing. I'll spare everyone the details, but when I say surprised, I mean surprised as in "didn't know" , "had no clue" and "are you sure?" lol.

Before Baby Moni (also known as M2) made his debut, Moni (M1) and I have been blessed with 4 children already, Siaosi - 15, Kiteau - 14, Siua - 13 and our lil princess 'Eva - 10. As you can see this was not planned...hahaha. But we welcomed M2 with open arms and LOVE him to death! Yes, I guess you can say I am a proud mother of 5, but most of all very blessed that I have another special spirit to take care of and call my own. Time flies by so quickly and I can remember as if it was yesterday that I was at the hospital waiting to bring him home and show him to the world! I just wanted to share pics of him from the day he forever changed our lives........

There's not a day that goes by that I don't forget to thank my Father in Heaven for blessing my life with 5 beautiful children and an amazing husband! They keep me on my toes, brighten up my days and fill my life with endless joy!

It's been a crazy 2 1/2 weeks going on 3. It all started out with the Missionary efforts of inviting non-members and inactive families to a dance and luau that was held on June 10 at the Kalihi chapel. Our youth was invited to do a Tongan number. Thank God, my brother Bishop 'Alamoti Taumoepeau  was able to come out to Waipahu and teach the youth a number which they learned in one night. With a lot of yelling and threats on my part and the patience of the other youth leaders the night turned out to be a success.

The morning after the performance/dance at Kalihi which ended at 1am, we had an early morning hike. We planned to meet at the chapel at 7am. Moni and I were 5 mins late, and thinking that there probably wouldn't be that many youth because it was such a late night the night before. To our surprise, there were at least 10 youth waiting already. We were quite impressed with the turn out. We hiked about 5 miles that day....boy, was i exhausted!

We arrived back at the chapel at about noon and were exhausted as heck, thirsty and hungryyyyy! We were blessed that when the Bishop Nau and Litani Tuiono (one of our YM's dad) arrived they felt sorry for us (lol) so they treated everyone to McDonalds....had the best McChicken everrrrr! All the youth rushed home to get ready and return to the chapel for a YM that was gonna get baptized.

At 4pm the same day (Saturday 6/11/11), Londene Manu known to many as "Braddah" got baptized. Braddah is a big guy in stature with a voice that is as sweet as a child. A very humble young man who I've come to respect jus by watching his mannerisms and positive attitude.

The following week Tuesday (6/14/11) we started girls camp, which ended on Friday (6/17/11). I was super excited and had a lot of fun with the girls, leaders, and parents. The girls were in for a surprise....lol!I had them put up there own tents, and cook their own meals literally with no kind of help from me besides my motivating by utilizing my yelling skills. I had to leave on Thursday a day early but was very sadden by the time I left. I got to spend quality time with the girls and through the couple of days I was with them, they grew on me a lot! I loved every minute with my Young Women!!!

Camp comes to an end on Friday but it doesn't end there...hoiiiii! We were invited by the Liahona Alumni to

perform our Tongan number at their dance in Laie. We accepted the invitation and the YW troopers of Newtown 2nd Ward went out to Laie sunburned, tanned and tired as heck but we made it! I love my girls!!

The guy that stole my HEART......

You've heard the saying,” opposites attract”. Many people believe that finding a mate who is your opposite is like touching two electrical wires together. Sparks fly and things really heat up. The very idea is exciting: you zig, he zags. He is everything you are not, and vice versa. Some may agree with me and some may not but this is my story....a very true story. 

I married the love of my life, Sesimoni Hofaini Tu'ipulotu Ha'unga on Jan. 10,1995. It's amazing how time goes by quickly and how I could remember quite vividly the first day I laid eyes upon him. 16 years later, increased family size of 7, and 50 pounds heavier, I still am madly in love with him! Together Forever sums it all up! 

Known as Moni to many, he is a very quiet, private and humble person who in so many ways resembles the pure love of Christ ( especially in our relationship..lol). He is an awesome husband and an amazing father to our children. I look forward to many more years together and especially the unforgettable memories that we have to not only create, but treasure!
